Overview:
From a clinical standpoint, stress is the body’s response to outside stimuli that we experience every day. Those negative emotions and feelings, like anger, fear, resentment, and jealousy initiate a cascade of chemicals that if left unchecked, become destructive to the mind and body, creating a toxic environment.
Research has shown that the use of hypnosis is highly regarded for helping people manage stress. One of the best characteristics of hypnosis is an extraordinary sense of relaxation that isn’t found in any other process. In hypnosis, you will experience balance in mind and body while safety is perceived and the body moves towards relaxation of the nervous system.
No one can control all the events that take place in the world around them. In fact, it’s the futile attempt to control the outside world that brings on the negative emotions, feelings, and the stress that can be so detrimental. What we can control, and what hypnosis is so effective at helping us with, is how we CHOOSE to perceive and process the event.
